Student Affordability Again Top Budget Priority for Public Universities

For the second consecutive year, the South Dakota Board of Regents has pledged to freeze in-state students’ tuition in exchange for more state government support. A $6.8 million budget request will be forwarded to Gov. Dennis Daugaard to prevent more higher education cost shifting to students, regents said.


Regents Announce Leadership Changes at Dakota State University

The South Dakota Board of Regents announced it will accept the resignation of Dakota State University President David Borofsky, and appoint Marysz Rames, vice president for student affairs at South Dakota State University, as DSU’s interim president

Four Public University Researchers Receive Early-Career Awards

Four young researchers from South Dakota public universities have received highly competitive awards to advance their careers in science and engineering. Three of the awards come from the National Science Foundation; the fourth was granted by the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA).
