For Immediate Release: Friday, October 10, 2003 Campus Community Representatives Appointed for NSU Presidential Search BROOKINGS - Twelve people have been appointed by the South Dakota Board of Regents to serve as campus community representatives on the Northern State University Presidential Search and Screen Committee. "These campus community representatives will play a significant role in the search process for Northern's new president," said Regent Pat Lebrun of Rapid City, who chairs the search. Other Regents serving on the search committee are Carole Pagones of Sioux Falls; Tony Venhuizen of Armour; and Harvey Jewett of Aberdeen, ex officio member. Named as campus community representatives and the constituencies they represent are:
"These people have varied experiences and knowledge of the university which will be extremely helpful in the search process," Lebrun said. "With their input we will choose the right leader for Northern State University." Former President John Hilpert left Northern to become president of Delta State University in Cleveland, Miss. Don Cozzetto, vice president of academic affairs, is currently serving as interim president. -30-
