Health-Related Programs Approved
The South
Dakota Board of Regents has approved new academic programs aimed at
meeting specific health-related workforce needs in the state.

Certificate Geared to Innovation
A new certificate
program at South Dakota School of Mines and Technology is geared to
people interested in introducing a new product or innovation into the
marketplace. The South Dakota Board of Regents this week approved a
12-hour technology innovation certificate to be available to undergraduate
or graduate students starting in the fall of 2008.

Dakota Student Performance Exceeds National Norms
Based on two
important measures of academic progress, South Dakota public university
students again outperformed their counterparts nationwide.

at Dakota State Honored for Their Work
The South
Dakota Board of Regents has recognized student organizations at Dakota
State university for their initiative and positive contributions to
the community.

Approved for Graduate Degree and Minor in Statistics
The South
Dakota Board of Regents has approved a new master’s degree in
statistics and a minor in statistics, both to be offered at South Dakota
State University. The programs will be available to students starting
in the fall of 2008.
Internet
Offerings Continue to Grow in Regents' System
Nearly 14,500
students were enrolled in some type of distance education course in
the public university system last year, the South Dakota Board of Regents
learned Thursday. Distance education students in the system have increased
by 43 percent since 2004.
