Board OKs Transfer Agreements with Southeast Tech

The South Dakota Board of Regents approved 116 credit-transfer agreements between South Dakota’s public universities and Southeast Technical Institute (SETI) in Sioux Falls.

SDSU President Miller Announces Plans to Retire

Peggy Miller, president of South Dakota State University since 1998, will retire from the South Dakota public higher education system at the end of 2006, the South Dakota Board of Regents said Thursday. The announcement came during a regular meeting of the board in Madison.

Research Initiatives Move Forward

Building on initial efforts launched more than a year ago, the South Dakota Board of Regents will ask state legislators to approve three more doctoral-level research degrees and at least one more highly-focused university research center.

Regents Approve New Academic Programs

The South Dakota Board of Regents gave Northern State University the go-ahead to offer a new undergraduate degree in banking and financial services that aims to produce more well-trained managers for the state’s banking industry.
