Set Tuition and Fees for 2005-06
An average undergraduate student
carrying a full load at one of South Dakota’s public universities
will pay about 5 percent more in tuition and fees next fall. The South
Dakota Board of Regents set the rates for the 2005-06 academic year.

Regents gave its approval for the University of South Dakota and South
Dakota School of Mines and Technology to require higher admission standards.

Rounds announces cooperative agreement with leading nanotechnology company
South Dakota Gov. Mike Rounds
announced a cooperative agreement involving Zyvex Corp. of Richardson,
Texas, the state of South Dakota and Rapid City economic development
efforts to designate the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology
as the exclusive provider of integrated circuit (IC) failure analysis
services to the semi-conductor industry.

Articulation
Agreements with Tech Institutes Move Forward
Articulation agreements between
South Dakota’s public universities and three of the state’s
technical institutes are moving forward, the South Dakota Board of Regents
was told Wednesday.
Physical
Therapy Doctorate, New Minors Approved
The University
of South Dakota received approval to move its existing master’s
program in physical therapy to a doctorate, while the South Dakota Board
of Regents also approved several new minors at South Dakota State University.
