Regents Recognize USD Student Groups

Three student-led organizations at The University of South Dakota were
recognized by the South Dakota Board of Regents for academic excellence, community
service, and leadership.

USDSU Breaks 3,000 in Headcount Enrollment
USDSU continues to meet the demand for public higher education in the
Sioux Falls area, growing nearly 11 percent in unduplicated headcount over the past year and
delivering 14 percent more credit hours of instruction over the same time. Executive Dean Mark
Lee, in his annual report to the South Dakota Board of Regents, said USDSU served 3,190
students in the three academic semesters ending this spring.

State Universities Examine Ph.D. Programming
Research productivity is linked closely to doctoral-level programs
offered by the state’s public universities, the South Dakota Board of Regents was told Thursday.
