Regents Set Performance Funding Targets
The South Dakota Board of Regents adopted a new plan for allocating
resources to the six state universities, based on their individual needs and performance in targeted areas.

Finance Studies at USD Becomes Stand-alone Major
The South Dakota Board of Regents gave its approval for The University
of South Dakota to convert its finance specialization in business to a full-fledged finance major.

New Centers at SDSMT Enhance Research Mission
The South Dakota Board of Regents has approved two new centers at the South
Dakota School of Mines and Technology to enhance the school’s growing research mission.

Organization Awards Presented to SDSU Student Groups
The South Dakota Board of Regents presented awards to three student
organizations from South Dakota State University.

Board of Regents Sets Tuition and Fees for 2004-05
Tuition and fees will increase 5.5 percent at South Dakota’s six public
universities next fall. The board set the rates for the 2004-05 academic year at its meeting in Brookings.

Schloss to Head Northern State University
Patrick J. Schloss, acting president of Bloomsburg University in Bloomsburg,
Penn., will become the 15th president of Northern State University, the South Dakota Board of Regents announced.
