Another Record Year for State University System Enrollments 
For the second year in a row, South Dakota's public university system reported a record total enrollment, while the number of full-time students also increased by more than 2.5 percent.  

New Agreement Reached on Public University Course Offerings in Pierre 
Capital University Center in Pierre and the South Dakota Board of Regents have agreed to a new strategy for delivering public university coursework in the state's capital city.

Campus Community Representatives Appointed for NSU Presidential Search  
Twelve people have been appointed by the South Dakota Board of Regents to serve as campus community representatives on the Northern State University Presidential Search and Screen Committee.  

Regents Consider "Children of Alumni" Proposal 
A reduced out-of-state tuition rate for children of South Dakota public universities' alumni may be a cost-effective way to attract more college students to the state and increase revenues, the South Dakota Board of Regents was told Friday.  

Organization Awards Presented to SDSU Student Groups  
The South Dakota Board of Regents presented awards Friday to three student organizations from South Dakota State University.

 South Dakota Public University Students Score Higher than National Comparison Group on Proficiency Exam 
The South Dakota Board of Regents heard today that students at South Dakota's public universities continue to score higher on the proficiency examination than students in a national reference group. The information was part of a report on the results of the 2002-2003 proficiency exam. Instituted by the Regents in Spring 1998, the exam is a requirement for all second-semester sophomores. 

Renovated Solberg Hall Returned to State  
Under final terms of a first-ever lease arrangement with a university foundation, the South Dakota Board of Regents Friday accepted the return of a renovated 102-year-old classroom building on the South Dakota State University campus as state property.  

Board of Regents Signs Memorandum with NSU Foundation  
An agreement between the South Dakota Board of Regents and the Northern State University Foundation signed Friday seeks to establish a more business-like relationship between the two entities.
