Board of Regents Announce Appointment of New Budget Officer


PIERRE-Board of Regents Executive Director Robert T. Tad Perry today announced the appointment of Stephen Rhodes to the position of Budget Officer for the Board of Regents. Rhodes will begin his duties today.

Rhodes served in the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Command, Control, Communication, and Intelligence from May 1990 to December 1995 as a Resource Manager. He entered federal civil service through the Presidential Management Intern Program in August 1989, where he was appointed to serve in the Department of Defense Inspector General's Office. Rhodes served in the United States Air Force from 1980 to 1987 where he most recently served as an Instructor Navigator.

Rhodes earned a B.S. in Economics from Geneva College (Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania), an M.A. in Government from California State University, and an M.A. in Religion from Westminster Theological Seminary. He has also completed advanced coursework at the University of Maryland.

Rhodes will replace Kathy Johnson, who was appointed to the position of Director of Administrative Affairs for the Board of Regents in July 1996.
