Regents are Updated on New Student Information System
The Board of Regents received an update on progress toward implementing the new student information system (SIS), known as Colleague R14. In July an Implementation Kick-Off Meeting was held at the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology in Rapid City. The meeting was designed to inform key system personnel on the new student information system, answer their questions, and gain their input into important implementation steps. This meeting marked the beginning of a process to fully implement this new information management system that will increase accessibility to information for students, faculty, and administrators, and improve service delivery. Admissions, the first segment of the implementation (which will include application processing), will be complete in Summer 1997.
