Regents' Information/Research Director Tapped for Post in Washington
PIERRE-Travis Reindl, the Board of Regents' Director of Information and Institutional Research, has accepted the position of Policy Analyst with the American Association of State Colleges and Universities in Washington, DC, effective February 24.
Reindl, a native of Custer, joined the Regents' staff in January 1995 as Information/Research Analyst, and was named Director of Information and Institutional Research in July 1996. He holds a B.A. in Government/Communications from the University of Notre Dame.
"I'm leaving here grateful for the tremendous opportunity I have been given, but I will really miss my colleagues, whose talent and friendship have made this such a great experience," Reindl said. "It has truly been an honor and a pleasure to serve the Board of Regents, and I wish the dedicated faculty, staff, and students of the university system all the best as they move forward," he continued.
"This is a wonderful opportunity for Travis," commented Regents' Executive Director Robert T. Tad Perry. "He has been an outstanding contribution to South Dakota's higher education community during his time with the Board of Regents. He will be missed. I am delighted for him, and I am pleased that the Washington higher education community will have someone with South Dakota's work ethic, a South Dakota experience in the day-to-day world of higher education, and a resource that we can call upon to advance higher education for South Dakotans. I look forward to watching him as he advances in his career," Perry added.
Reindl's last day with the Board of Regents is February 15.
