Regents Recognize Outstanding Student Organizations at USD

Student organizations from The University of South Dakota were recognized for their outstanding academic, community, and organizational work by the South Dakota Board of Regents.

SDSU Gets Master’s Degree in Computer Science; USD Takes Accountancy Degree Online

The South Dakota Board of Regents approved a request from South Dakota State University to offer a master of computer science degree. In other action, the board also approved The University of South Dakota’s plans to deliver its master of public accountancy degree online.

Public Universities Move to 120 Credit-Hour Bachelor’s Degree

Beginning next summer, South Dakota’s six public universities will move to a 120 credit-hour limit for most bachelor-degree programs and 60 credit hours for associate degrees.

Public University Headcount Numbers Decline Slightly; FTE Enrollment Up

After 13 straight years of setting records, headcount enrollment at South Dakota’s six public universities was down slightly this fall, the South Dakota Board of Regents announced. Full-time equivalent enrollment, often considered to be a better measure of growth and retention within the higher education system, was up by nearly 100 students.
