| The Education Discipline Council (EDC) is a statewide,
system group established to prepare information, analysis, and
recommendations for coordinating the use of available resources
that enable appropriate access to high quality educational opportunities
through inter-institutional cooperation. Education deans and
faculty representatives from each of the five teacher preparation
institutions meet on a regular basis to review issues and trends
in education, formulate appropriate responses, and provide leadership
