| The Constitution of the State of South Dakota
vests the governance and control of South Dakota's public higher
education system and special schools in the Board of Regents
(BOR), which has full power, responsibility and authority to
supervise, coordinate, manage and regulate the system. The members
of the BOR are appointed by the Governor, and in turn, they
appoint the Executive Director and the presidents and superintendents
who serve as chief executive officers. The general authority,
power, and purposes of the BOR are identified in BOR
Policy 1:1 . |
