To be admitted to a public university from which you wish to earn a degree, please complete the online application or contact the admissions office of that university.

In order to be admitted as an undergraduate student to one or more of South Dakota's six public universities, an individual must meet system level admission requirements.

In addition, there may be specific university undergraduate admission requirements that need to be met. Please review the admission requirements for the university or universities of your choice.

You will arrive at a custom search page where you will need to enter specific search criteria in order to view and complete on-line admission applications.

It is recommended that you select "4-Year or more" for type of institution, under the "School" section select "Public" and then select "SD" as the state. This will provide you with a list of public 4-year institutions in South Dakota. From here you can apply on-line to any of our six public universities. You will then be contacted directly by the university or universities to which you applied for admission.
