Distance Education
students, either degree- or non-degree-seeking, will be
charged $219.55 per undergraduate credit hour and $290.65 per graduate
credit hour (Summer 2008 - Spring 2009), regardless of delivery
method and state of residence. These tuition rates are subject to
change by the South Dakota Board of Regents.
Tuition reduction for
special groups in South Dakota (for example: teachers, National
Guard members and state employees) does not apply to self-support
courses.
Campus-based students,
either admitted (degree-seeking) students or special (non-degree-seeking)
students taking classes on one of the six public South Dakota university
campuses who wish to take a distance education course, will pay
tuition costs that differ slightly from off-campus student rates:
On-campus Students
Taking Courses From Their Home University
If you are
(a) an admitted student
taking the majority of your classes on campus at your home university,
and
(b) are admitted to an
on-campus program of study, and
(c) you are taking the
distance education class from your home university,
you will pay the on-campus
rate for your home university. To be certain that you pay the correct
tuition and fees for on-campus home students, be sure to register
in the on-campus section of the class at your home university.
On-campus students
taking courses from another South Dakota public university
If you are
(a) an admitted student
taking the majority of your classes at your home university, but
(b) you want to register
for a distance education class at another South Dakota public
university,
you pay the self-support
tuition rate with no fees. To be certain that you pay the correct
amount for on-campus home students registering for another South
Dakota public university course, register in the off-campus section
of the class.
