Financial
Aid
Financial aid is available
to students that are admitted to a degree-seeking program of study
at one of the six universities within this consortium. Financial
aid is processed through the university from which you are seeking
a degree. However, courses taken from other universities within
this consortium may count toward the credit hours needed for full-time
and partial Federal Student Aid mentioned below. We encourage you
to contact your home university's website for further financial
aid information:
Financial Aid
Eligibility
Full-time federal
financial aid:
To receive full-time financial
aid support, you must be a full-time student taking at least 12
credits at the undergraduate level, or 9 credits at the graduate
level (10 at Northern State University), and be admitted into a
program of study at one of our six public universities.
Partial federal financial
aid:
To receive part-time financial
aid support, you must be a part-time student taking at least 6 credits
at the undergraduate level, or 5 credits at the graduate level (4
at Northern State University), and be admitted into a program of
study at one of our six public universities.
Possible financial aid
programs include
- Federal Pell Grants
- Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants
- Federal Perkins Loans
- Federal Stafford Loans and the
- Parent Loan for Undergraduate Students (PLUS).
These sources of federally
funded aid are awarded on the basis of need. United States citizenship
or permanent residency is required. If you are interested in federal
financial aid you can complete the Free
Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) available online.

Scholarships
Degree-seeking
students may be eligible for scholarships. Incoming students
should submit a scholarship application to their home university.
