As a degree-seeking student you may wish to take advantage of your
home university's disabilities services office. All six public universities
in the state are committed to providing assistance and accommodation
for qualified students with specific disabilities or needs.
An individual with a disability
under Section
504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans
with Disabilities Act of 1990 is one who currently has, previously
had, or is regarded as having a physical or mental condition that
substantially limits one or more life activities.
While students are not required
by law to disclose a disability, you may wish to notify your home
university so that proper accommodation can be made and the universities
can help to provide the services that will ensure success for you
as a student.
You can download a copy
of the Disabilities
Services Request Form and submit a completed copy to your primary
university. Also available is a copy of the Course
Accommodations Request Form.
