Graduation Requirements

The MA degree requires successful completion of a minimum of 33 semester hours, 18 of which must be earned through The University of South Dakota or other member of the South Dakota System of Public Higher Education. A maximum of 15 semester hours of credit will be allowed through transfer or transcription of coursework. The student must maintain a Grade Point Average of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale). Prior to graduation, each student will be expected to complete a comprehensive examination or project in lieu of the examination that covers material relevant to the Adult and Higher Education program. Faculty advisors from the Division of Educational Administration will be assigned to each student to provide more detailed information regarding course and program requirements.
