EUC stands for Electronic University Consortium. We are the public universities of the state of South Dakota. The EUC is a centralized location where you may register for any of our schools' distance education classes.

Our universities offer Associate through Masters degrees through distance education. For a full listing of degrees offered through the EUC please visit our Available Degree Programs page.

To see which courses are currently being offered, visit our Course Search page.

How do I get an EUC user account?

Start by performing a course search and view course information for those courses you are interested in pursuing. When you are ready to register, select the "Request Registration" button in the upper-right-hand corner of the course display screen for those courses in which you wish to enroll. If you are not logged in, you will be asked to become a registered user of the EUC. Follow the simple directions to register as a user at EUC. After successfully logging in, you will be returned to the course display screen.

How much does it cost to take a class through the EUC?

Please see our Tuition and Fees page for the current costs.

If I am already attending one of the South Dakota public universities, can I apply my financial aid to classes taken through the EUC?

Your primary university's financial aid office will need to review your situation, as each case is different. Please contact them with any questions you have regarding financial aid.

How much study time is typical in a distance education course?

In face-to-face instruction a credit hour typically represents the amount of time spent "in class" each week for a traditional course. For example, a one-credit-hour class would involve one hour of time spent in class plus two hours of out-of-class study time each week. For further explanation, please visit our Distance Education Course Study Time page.
