Robert T. Tad Perry, was named
Executive Director of the South Dakota Board of Regents in 1994.
Perry previously served as the chief operating officer of Indiana’s
Partnership for Statewide Education. He concluded his twenty-three
year career at Ball State University as a Professor of Political
Science and Associate Vice President (1987-1994). Perry graduated
from Central Methodist University [MO] where he serves as a
member of the Board of Trustees. He received an M. A. and Ph.D.
from the University of Missouri-Columbia. He is a former chair
of the Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education and
the State Higher Education Executive Officers organization.
He has served on the Executive Committees of the National Association
of System Heads and the Education Commission of the States.
Currently, he serves as a Commissioner of the Midwestern Commission
for Higher Education.
