Continue upgrading various
tools to protect from external hostile attacks, accidental intrusions,
and internal failures. Establish periodic IT Security Reviews as
a RIS-Security service to the university campuses.
Seamless IT Infrastructure
Initiative
This project will design
a single, unified, seamless, wide-area infrastructure of basic IT
network services underlying the separate operations of the different
universities. It is important for students, employees and external
constituents of the University System to be able to interact online
with the individual universities and the System overall as conveniently
and effectively as possible. This would expect certain features
of networked services to be consistent systemwide, such as: single
logon, global directories, remote access to home data files and
information systems, etc.
